Item Exchanges or Refunds

Many people are hesitant about shopping online particularly when it comes to exchanging or returning items.  But the refund or exchange of the item in reality is no more difficult to that of placing the initial order.

The process may differ from company to company, but you will find that the majority of online retailers are only too happy to offer a refund or exchange.  The store may send a returns form in the original package in the event that you have ordered an incorrect size, colour or simply just had a change of heart.  If there is no form with your delivery then it is just a case of visiting the website in question.  There you may either need to download a Returns Form, read their returns policy for information or email the company for further advice.

If the item you received was damaged in transit or the wrong product was sent, then a full refund or replacement item will usually be issued.  You will of course need to send back the item you originally purchased but in most situations, the company will pay for the cost of postage or refund the money back to you.

If you are looking to exchange sizes of clothing or shoes, again it is an easy process.  You will need to send back the original size and the required size will be sent out (provided it is in stock) or a gift voucher or refund issued.

If you have just changed your mind for no particular reason then you will usually find you will still be given a refund on the item cost, but it is unlikely you will be refunded on the return of the item (although again this may differ slightly).

Returns, refunds and exchanges are common requests for online retailers so it should definitely not deter you from the enjoyment or convenience when it comes to shopping online.
